Welding of ACM (Aluminium Composite Material)
ACM, or Aluminium Composite Material, can be welded using the Techspan ACM plastic welding kit.
Aluminium Composite Material, (ACM) is a type of flat panel that consists of two thin aluminium sheets bonded to a non-aluminium plastic core (Polyethylene). ACMs are frequently used for external cladding or facades of buildings, insulation, and signage.
The ACM Plastic Welding Kit includes a state-of-the-art Plastic Welding Tool which features electronic temperature control. This allows the welding temperature to be set to the correctly depending on the plastic material to be welded. All plastics have slightly different temperatures at which they become molten (welding temperature).

*We recommend welding of only ACM material as supplied by Sign Sheet Distributors. There can be some huge differences in the quality of the internal plastic core materials on ACM panels, however our own tests show best results when welding ACM from Sign Sheet Distributors
